What does Toque offer over the competition?
The simple answer is a more personal service experience. Toque takes the time to meet with our Clients or their household manager in person to discuss how the household may be best served. We perform thorough background checks on all of our chefs to ensure that we begin your private chef service on the right foot. Additionally, we will take the time to develop useful employment and management documentation (terms of employment, employment offer, household policies, rules of conduct, etc) particular to the household should it be required. Perhaps the most distinguishing characteristic of Toque is that we require our chefs to complete our Private Chef Orientation & Training Program at our own expense. This allows Toque to instill in our chefs the qualities we find necessary to provide great service and the specific skills or characteristics that each household prefers. Toque is the only private chef agency that requires this orientation and training. And finally a one year guarantee on the chef you choose is included in our service fee.
Our competition can often be described as “resume distributors” working on behalf of chefs seeking employment. Toque understands that our Clients seek to simplify the process of finding a private chef. Our recruitment and screening process eliminates the stack of resumes and provides you 3 to 5 completely qualified applicants. The only decision remaining is to determine which applicant compliments your household on a personal level; which personality, demeanor, and style do you prefer.
